Since 1885, our family has farmed a 140-acre homestead in Amherst Junction, Wisconsin. For five generations, the land has provided food for our tables and a life very few have had the privilege to experience. Through all of life's challenges, the farm has been at the heart of our memories and the source of many of God's blessings.

With each passing generation, The Lutz Family Farm has evolved over time, but one thing has remained the same: Our Passion.

Together, we're continuing to live off of the land our grandfathers cleared over 150 years ago. Our Heritage truly is a lifestyle of sustainability, hard work, and faith.

Our Services

conSULTATION

We're here to help you understand and prepare our products. We work directly with our clients to help them select the cuts of meat and meat packages that best fit their needs. From your first inquiry to pick-up or delivery, we pride ourselves by assisting you every step of the way.

USDA Certified Butchering & packaging

Our meat is processed and packaged at USDA-certified facilities in central Wisconsin. We work together with our local butcher to ensure you're 100% satisfied with your order.

GRASS FED AND FINISHED

Our 100% Grass Fed and Finished cattle graze lush, nutrient-rich pastures. We work with an agronomist and a cattle nutritionist to ensure we are applying the latest sustainable practices while delivering you superior quality grass-fed and finished beef.

GRAIN FINISHED

While none of our animals are ever treated with unnecessary hormones or antibiotics, we do raise cattle who are fed a diet of quality conventional grains and other forages. We work alongside experts to ensure our cattle are provided optimal nutrition to deliver superior quality and flavored beef.

Ordering

All ordering can be done online. Our pricing is clear - no calculations or payment surprises. You know exactly what to expect. Processing and packaging are included in our pricing.

Delivery

We know you're busy and preparing meals is hard enough. We deliver your meat directly to your doorstep if you live within 25-miles of our farm. We'll even put it in your freezer for you! Free delivery on orders over $400 dollars.* Must live within 25 Miles of Amherst.

FAQ

Processing and packaging are included in our fee. We work directly with our butcher to ensure you're getting the best bang for your buck.
We will email you about 1 week before the beef is ready for delivery or pick-up. Delivery and pick up dates and times are firm as we do not have enough freezer space to store anyone’s beef for lengthy periods of time. Thank you!
We tend to butcher more bonelessly on quicker cooking cuts, and tend to leave the bones in on longer cooking cuts where the meat will fall off the bone, thereby maximizing the actual amount of meat you are able to eat. It is important to note that the amount of edible meat does not change with boneless cuts, and boneless cuts take up less room in your freezer.
We have the butcher leave less fat on the cuts and use less fat in the ground beef opting for 85-95% lean ground beef.
Usually, a half beef takes up about 10 cu. ft. of “upright” freezer space. The rule of thumb is 1 cubic foot of freezer space for every 35-40 lbs. of cut and wrapped meat.
